Hope Energy is the trading name of Hope Energy Ltd (‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’). This Site is operated on his behalf. By accessing this Site you are agreeing to be bound by this Privacy Policy and that you are responsible for complying with any local laws and regulations applicable to you. Data Controller: We act as the Data Controller for personal data collected through the Site, which means that our role is to determine the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.   • Wix: This Site is hosted on the Wix online platform, which allows us to sell our products and services to you. We have instructed Wix to store and process personal data on our behalf pursuant to Wix’s Data Processing Agreement - Users, as amended from time to time (see link).

When you make or attempt to make a purchase on the Site, such information includes your name, contact details, delivery address, order details and payment information such as credit or debit card or Paypal information (together “Customer Information”);

  • Certain technical information, which is automatically collected from your device when you visit the Site including information about your web browser, IP address, and some of the Cookies (see 5 below) installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we also automatically collect information on individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site (together “Device Information.”)

We cannot accept responsibility or liability for your use of, or any orders placed on or via, a Third Party platform or website, nor any orders fulfilled by any Third Party.

8. Data Storage and Security

8.1 By using this Site, you agree to the adequacy of the organisational, technical and security measures implemented by us and our Data Processors on our behalf to protect your Personal Information. For further information (see links in Section 1).

 

8.2 Your Personal Information may be stored through Wix’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. See Section 1.

 

8.3 Wix affiliates and Third Party service providers that store or process your Personal Information on Wix’s behalf are contractually committed to keep it protected and secured, in accordance with industry standards and regardless of any lesser legal requirements which may apply in their jurisdiction. All direct payment gateways offered by Wix and used by us adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our Site and its service providers.

 

8.4 Where you have chosen a password to access certain parts of the Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential and you must not disclose it to any third party.

 

9. Retention of your Personal Information

9.1 Personal Information collected pursuant to the Policy will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, in line with our legitimate interest or for a period specifically required by applicable laws or regulations.

10.2 We will liaise with our Data Processors for assistance in fulfilling these obligations in accordance with their policies and procedures - (see Section1).

11. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. By using this Site you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of this Privacy Policy.

 

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by English law. We both agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
